✨ The Whisker Witch's Guide to Commissioning Magick ✨

Welcome, kindred spirit, to the little atelier of The Whisker Witch. Here, familiars, magick, and art intertwine. Each piece is a story waiting to be told. Before we begin this enchanted journey together, there are a few gentle guidelines to help the magick flow smoothly.

  1. Reserving Your Commission
    • Payment in full is required to reserve your place in my magickal queue. Once your spot is claimed, it is held exclusively for you, and all sales are final.
  2. Time & Flow of Magick
    • Every familiar arrives in their own time.
      • Completion depends on the chosen medium, design complexity, materials, and my current commission queue.
    • I will provide an estimated timeline, but art and magick cannot be rushed.
  3. The Creative Process
    • Please share any ideas or requests during our consultation before I begin.
    • Once artwork has started, revisions are not offered.
    • I'll happily share progress updates and sneak peeks along the journey.
  4. Sharing Your Familiar’s Story
    • I love sharing the magick behind each creation.
    • As the artist and copyright holder, I may share works in progress, finished portraits, and details of the creative journey on my website, portfolio, social media, advertisements, and other promotional materials.
    • If you choose, you're welcome to share your familiar's story, personality, rescue journey, or other little bits of magick to accompany their portrait.
    • While never required, these stories add warmth and help others connect with the familiars who pass through my studio.
  5. Copyright & Ownership
    • All artwork created by The Whisker Witch remains the intellectual property and copyrighted work of The Whisker Witch.
    • Purchasing a commission grants ownership of the original physical artwork (if applicable) but does not transfer copyright, reproduction, distribution, or commercial use rights.
    • Artwork may not be copied, reproduced, altered, distributed, resold, used for AI training, minted as NFTs, or used for commercial purposes without my prior written permission and a separate licensing agreement.
  6. Delivery
    • Finished artwork will be delivered digitally or shipped according to our agreement.
    • Physical shipments include tracking and insurance when applicable.
    • Please note that carrier delays are outside my control, and colors may vary slightly between digital screens and the original artwork.
  7. Our Shared Journey
    • Please provide clear reference photos that you have permission to use, communicate kindly, and trust the creative process.
    • I reserve the right to decline any commission that falls outside my artistic style, values, or creative vision.

💫 By submitting a request, you agree to these guidelines and honor the care, time, and spellwork woven into each creation. Thank you for trusting me to bring your familiar’s spirit into art form.

We’ll use this to reply with details, sketches, and pricing.
These details help me capture their spirit and little “signature” traits in the art.

Choose the surface/type of project, then pick the style below.
You can upload photos of your familiar, poses you like, or inspiration for colors / style.

To capture your companion's spirit clearly, here's how to provide the best photos:

1. Natural Light Is Magick
Take photos near a window or outdoors.
Avoid lamps or yellow lighting.
Sunlight reveals true colors and details.

2. Get Eye-Level
Kneel, sit or lay down to take pictures from their height.
Eye-level photos show personality and expression best.

3. Avoid Heavy Shadows
Try to keep both sides of their face illuminated. If half of their face is dark, details disappear.

4. Take Multiple Angles
Ideally include:
*Front view
*Clear eye shot
*Side profile (each side)
*A few 3/4 angle shots
*Optional: A full-body pic
More angles = more magick for me to work with.

5. Show True Colors & Markings
Make sure markings, spots, stripes and patterns are visible.
No filters or color edits - natural is best.

6. Capture Their Vibe
If they're
*regal
*silly
*shy
*mischievous
*cosmic
*chaotic
*gentle
*wise
Try to photograph them in a moment that reflects this.
Their essence informs the final art.

7. Delete The Blurries
Clear photos help me add precise detail - especially around the eyes, fur, scales, whiskers or feathers.

8. Send 3-10 Photos
More than one helps me achieve accuracy and portray their personality purrfectly.
